Privacy notice
Last updated: [date]. This notice explains how Nuova AI Ltd handles personal data.
If you chatted with an assistant on a business's website
That business is the controller of your chat and any details you shared; Nuova processes it on their behalf. Their privacy notice (linked in the chat window) explains how they use it. You can download or delete your chat data at any time using “Your data” in the chat window, or by contacting the business.
- The chat sets no cookies. A random visitor id is stored in your browser only after you send a message, so the conversation survives page loads.
- Your IP address is used only for abuse prevention and rate limiting, in hashed form; it is not stored with your conversation.
- Conversations are deleted automatically after the retention period the business chooses.
- Your messages are never used to train AI models.
If you contact us through our website
We use the name, email, company and message you send only to reply to you (legitimate interests, UK GDPR article 6(1)(f)). The form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, an email-forwarding service. We don't add you to any mailing list, and we delete enquiries that don't lead to a customer relationship within 12 months.
If you have a Nuova account
We are the controller of your account data (name, email, billing details), which we use to provide the service under our contract with your organisation (UK GDPR article 6(1)(b)), and for security and fraud prevention (legitimate interests).
Where data is processed
Data is stored in the UK/EU (Supabase, London region). Some sub-processors are in the US; transfers rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge. See sub-processors.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing. Contact privacy@nuova-ai.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
